The first-gen Ford Taurus was once the best-selling car in America, but when was the last time you saw one? I spotted this survivor at Home Depot last night. Also on the way home, I saw a white fifth-gen Mazda 929, but it was too dark to take a picture.

I saw one somewhere in Pennslyvania on my way back to Dc. I pointed it out to my fiancee, but she just said meh.

Last I saw one is when my father in law sold his. he drove the HELL out of that car.
I think he partly did it out of spite because he swore he'd be able to drive it until my now-wife graduated from college. He bought it when she was 12 drove it until she was 21 and she graduated.

Its also weird how the current Taurus is gigantic compared to the first gen. I was next to one in my MINI Cooper S and I had to look up to see the driver and I have a stock suspension. Safety bloat suck

My great-grandmother had one until 2003 (she couldn't drive by then). Growing up, I thought it was cool.

I saw one of these at the Burger King by my house just the other day. It had no clearcoat left, a healthy dose of rust, and some weird '90s era Walmart hubcaps. It was still running, though. To be honest, that's the only one I have seen around here in years.

I had a clapped out, 250,000+ mile, 91 Taurus SHO about 4 years ago. Funnest car I ever owned.
